Nice dining close to home. This was our second visit and we did arrive an hour before close on a Tues night so maybe that had something to do with it …

Fabulous salads! Fresh, and large portions! The Insalata Bistecca came with not just a few pieces of meat, but rather a buttery full steak on my salad…

Three ladies out for a nice evening!. Only to be disappointed with service and food! It was a lovely evening so we decided to sit put in the court yard where we were ignored for app 10-15 minutes. Others were being seated around us and was promptly acknowledged and serviced. A couple who was seated after us was given first attention verses us. We were given three small dishes of oil and cheese. She took our drink order and left. My other girlfriend was on the phone and so I finally had to ask the waitress to come take her drink order. No bread, plates or silverware and no drinks. Finally the first two and took some time for the third to arrive. Finally we order. Salads arrive, yeah! But no silverware, so I had to ask for it. Here’s the bottom line to our experience we had to ask for everything and wait and wait. We were charged each a dollar for a second basket of bread. We were not told verbally but when the issue was addressed I was rudely told that it’s stated on the menu. When addressing our experience with the manager she finally took off the dollar. No other compensation was offered. That did not satisfy my other friend so she went to speak with the manager. We eat out a lot and know what good service and customer service is. We want the experience and professionalism that comes with the atmosphere and price point. Servers earn their wage by serving us the public it’s no different than an office job where I have to perform to my best in order to earn my money. Very disappointed with service and I won’t go into about the sangrias!
The atmosphere is lovely and the service was decent, however there was something off about each dish we ordered. The menu embellishes descriptions a bit (Buffalo mozzarella appetizer arrived with plain old mozzarella, forest mushrooms turn out to be white buttons) so when dishes arrive they are not quite what was expected. Quality of steaks is very low-think Sizzler. This restaurant could be so awesome, the decor is truly lovely, but the food is just not very good. Low quality ingredients=low quality dishes.
Outstanding ambiance and food to match. Trio bruschetta followed by strawberry walnut salad then the sweet corn risotto and artichoke ravioli and dessert of lemon cake. Yum! Add a very good and playful waitress-Katie made the evening wonderful!
Passing through town and pleasantly surprised. Much more interesting and classic menu than your pasta heavy style italian. Many ingediants were probably not fresh, but the kitchen does a fantastic job with what they have. Very well done decor.
Very Good Meal. My wife and I dined at Cafe Verona on a Saturday night in early December of 2012. We made a same-day reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. We ordered the buffalo mozzarella and toasted ravioli to start, both were very good, especially the basil pesto served with the ravioli. The main courses were quite substantial, my wife ordered the carbonara and I ordered the grilled ribeye. While the ribeye was not served in the traditional ‘cowtown’ style, it was very flavorful and was complimented by the whipped garlic potatoes and perfectly cooked vegetables. My wife’s carbonara was very rich, which is to be expected when one orders a pasta dish that contains creme and bacon. We shared a cannoli for dessert and were very pleased with our knowledgable and attentive server. Our bill, for 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, dessert and drinks was around $75 with tip, but one could still eat a nice meal between $40 and $50 if you skip the extra appetizer and the drinks.
Had a panini for lunch. Had to sit in the bar area because they were so busy. Tasted great. A Lot of bread. Balsamic dressing on salad was really good. Service was good once they found us in the bar.
Perfect lunch spot!. We eat here quite a lot! Food is wonderful (Chicken Piccata is a favorite) The Pinini’s are really good…any of them! Upscale …but affordable. Also the Mojito’s are to die for! Patio for lunch with Mojito’s…I think yes!
