I love this place. I wouldn’t want it everyday but sometimes I just get the urge for it. I like the reg zip burger. The onion pickle mustard tastes so good. I like they’re fries also. It’s nothin fancy but def different. Goin to try chili chs fries next time. Staff is super nice.
Susie. Faye and Clarence Randall (Rundall?) owned a Mugs Up in Bartlesville, Okla. They also owned the one in Independence or one in Kansas City. For a short time I was a car hop in Bartlesville. (12 years old) then they made me manager. That job was great and I worked there about 3 years. Certain days we sold5 hot dogs for one dollar and another day 4 Zip Burgers for $1.00. Those were the days for more than one reason!
Another great whiz burger
Mugs Up Root Beer offers a blast from the past. The root beer alone would be worth the trip to Mugs Up but you also have real car hops that take your order and then deliver it to your car on a tray that hangs from the window. The loose meat burgers are a matter of personal taste. I happen to like them and especially like the Whiz. I’ve got to try their chili dog that got rave reviews from another reviewer but must remember to ask for extra napkins as I generally don’t do too well staying neat without a table in front of me.All in all, I love the old time vibe of this little ol’ Drive In. Take your kids with you if they are still young. They should see how it was done in the ‘old days’. And have a root beer for me!
Chilli whiz dog. Ultimately the best chili dog around !!!!!!! root beer is great ! and the frito chili pie is awesome !!!
I live just a couple blocks from this place and I wont go there. The food is horrible and way over priced. The service is bad as well. I can go there three times in the same day order the same thing and they’ll charge me differently each time.
Prompt, Friendly and Delicious. Bill & Ann’s Mugs Up, I’ve been going there since I was a kid and continue to go back. The service by the car hops is prompt and friendly and the loose meat Whiz & Zip Burgers are the best! Too bad they don’t offer a complementary mug of root beer if you visit whith your 50’s Bel Air.
