I like the atmosphere here, very cozy. However, on a busy Friday night that means cramped and kind of loud. If that doesn’t bother you, go ahead and visit. The servers were busy and always running back and forth, but the food came out quicker than expected and really hot. Like burn your mouth hot, which did happen to me. I was pretty impressed up until I got my entree, it was good, but it was missing something. Maybe some more spices and herbs to kick it up a notch, definitely would have helped. It could have just been the dish I got and other dishes are better. I would go back and try something else.
We intend to go back OFTEN. We went at lunch on a Friday and let me say that the special, seafood lasagna, was TO DIE FOR! It came in a bowl of sauce and we made a joke that it was lasagna soup. As I cut into the multiple layers of fresh pasta, ricotta cheese, shrimp and crab the perfect amount of sauce stuck to each bite. The Caesar salad with gorgonzola has spoiled me so that I think I won’t eat one ever again without that cheese. The reason that it seems similar to Garozzo’s is because it’s owned by a member of the same family. My husband and I actually preferred the atmosphere here better than Garozzo’s because it was more quaint and the service was leaps and bounds better. I also believe that I will be going back with some girlfriends for happy hour, they have a lovely patio that just screams for you to sit and enjoy a sunny day.
Amazing!. My family has always liked Garrozo’s but this place is cheaper and way better service. The food is about the same. & I’d even say that Salvatore’s is better. The people there just seem to take better care of their customers. We all moved to Kansas a couple years ago and we still make the drive out to salvatore’s because we love it. Even though there is a Garrozo’s on our side of town! Maybe it’s just the overland park Garrozo’s that has bad service, but I know the food is always great. Salvatore’s includes a salad with their pastas and Garrozo’s charge extra for the salad and the dish is already a couple dollars more than Salvatore’s. Every dollar counts! Our waiters at Salvatore’s have always been great too… They are usually more personable and we love that. :)I recommend this place, definitely!
Service was very good but provel cheese ___yuck. Had eggplant and couldn’t finish and this type of cheese seems to be on everything
Friendly service, too much sauce.
I stayed at Hawthorne B&B, and they directed me to Salvatorres. Wow! The food was fantastic, the service exceptional. I will be back!!
Just okay… Heard alot about this place. Very pleasing relaxed decor. Friendly staff. Food on the other hand was okay. I odered one of the spadini dishes it seemed to taste a ltille funny like fried and greasy. The sauce for sure was awful…. I think the jar stuff at the grocery store has more taste very very blah. May give it a second chance.
