Das ist gut!. If you’re looking for a fine dining establishment, keep looking. The Altenhoff Inn is more like having an amazing meal at your best friend’s house, if your best friend’s mom can cook scrumptious world class German specialties. We had the Jaeger Schnitzel and the sampler plate. Both were tasty and plentiful. The knackwurst had an unbelievable snap, the smoked pork loin was tender and flavorful without being too salty. The kraut was sharp and crisp with the perfect touch of caraway, and cabbage was bright and sweet. the German potato salad made me miss my grandmother. The food, the view and the people are worth the trip.

Well run, but the food was ok. Stick to the sausage plate. The snitzels were just ok. Deserts were very good.

Great German food and beer. Wonderful views of the lake. Love the atmospher with the accordion player. Service was attentive but not overly so. Spent 90 minutes there just relaxing and enjoying the evening. We will be back our next time in town.

The view is beautiful. Unfortunately the pizza was disgusting. Bottom was burnt and middle raw. The Cobb salad was also very elementary. Styrofoam plates and the waitress was rude….probably cause we sent one pizza back and left 80% of the second. They need to call Restaurant Impossible. I never leave it views but seriously don’t waste your money….the entire experience besides the view felt like the owner was just all around lazy and did not care about the place. Its unfortunate.

Great Food and Views. My wife and I had a wonderful meal seated on the deck of the Altenhof Inn. I love German food but we decided to have the pizza. It was very tasty and delivered to the table hot. They have a nice beer selection. There were lots of German meal menu items. The owner, Gertraude Santo, stopped by our table and was very nice. She is originally from Wiesbaden near where I was stationed in the Army in the early seventies.

Because of German heritage and enjoyment of that cuisine, we try to find a German restaurant everywhere we travel and Branson was no exception. We conversed with Gertrude the owner and she was delightful. Our family of four tasted both the german and Italian cuisine and both were delicious. Her pizzas were loaded with topping two inches high and the dough was fresh. The others ate German and were very pleased with their selections. We will go back there again when next in Branson. Lovely view from the patio, great conversation and food!!
