It was a little surprising when we first got there and went inside, but the food was pretty good and the service was very fast. I sat on the sushi side, and could hear the noise from the steak house side. It didn’t bother me that much though, it was well separated. I would go back and eat here again.
Group gathering. Sat at the grill, very cold draft coming from a vent above food was unseasoned , food was cold, even hot tea was cooled off by draft, waited on cook awhile to cook our dinner, rather not sit at grill don’t like food thrown at me .maybe 2 stars, the sushi was good.
Surprised. Wasn’t sure about this place due to the exterior and the interior, but our Hibachi chef was excellent. he executed our food very well from the fried rice, perfectly cooked shrimp, lobster, filet, and NewYork strip. interacted with our kids very well. I would come back but Hibachi is only as good as the chef you get.
Absolutely DISGUSTING. I am from Hong Kong and have been to countless Japanese restaurants in Asia and here. This is THE WORST restaurant I have ever been to.For those who are looking for authentic Japanese food. DON’T COME HERE!!!!We ordered pork udon, rainbow roll, sake, and unagi rolls. I should have taken a picture of our pork udon. IT WAS DISGUSTING. It was $8.95 and I can guarantee you that bowl of grossness did not cost more than $3 for them to make. It’s was not Japanese style udon at all. It had napa cabbage, carrots, broccoli, boiled pork and overcooked udon. I could have made that home (AND BETTER). It was absolutely disgusting and a total rip off. Oh, and the bowl that they gave us was dirty. The sushi was really small, and they didn’t roll them tight. The salmon tasted old and gross. I am still pissed that I paid $36 for lunch. It was ridiculous. I am not a fast food person but I would choose McDonald’s over this place ANY DAY. We have been to Sushi Gin in Overland Park like more than 20 times and we’ve never had a bad experience. I will never come back again, and I don’t recommend anybody to come here.
I Dream About this Food. Some amazing food that’s well priced, just make sure you sit at the tappinyaki, the well seasoned grill makes the rice and everything cooked on it unbelievably delicious.
Most disgusting sushi we have ever had. The crab Rangoon was even gross. We will never go back and will tell everyone who asks about our experience. Sushi should be FRESH. It is raw fish not frozen thawed allowed to sit on the counter to get hot and then served.
I crave this sushi daily!. I have tried sushi in the past and gotten very ill, so when my husband wanted to give Siki a shot, I felt that framiliar twinge in the gut that had me very concerned with the outcome of our dinner. Holy cow, what an experience, I first and foremost did NOT get sick, but this is by far the BEST sushi place I have ever had and I have trouble going anywhere else. They are also so friendly, it is very affordable on the sushi side and I am happy each and ever time I have been there. Thank you for being consistant and thank you for being terrific, my favorite sushi house.
