    Wonderful restaurant with amazing food and service. We have been to the new Egg and I several times and it is just wonderful. The service is great and the food comes out fast, hot and taste amazing. We have been during the week and on the weekends and it always has a good crowd and great atmoshere. This is definitely a family favorite spot and we will be regulars for sure.

    Good food, horrible experience. Where to start… We went on a Sunday morning which was very busy. Finding parking was very difficult. Once we were able to get our name on the list the wait was about 30 minutes. We were seated and ordered our food very quickly by a pleasant server. Our coffee arrived quickly, however that was where a reasonable turnaround time ended. We noticed that tables seated after we ordered were being served their food. we brought this to our servers attention and she advised that she would check on our food, however, after about 20 more minutes we still did not receive our food. Once our food did come out to the table, only three of the five orders arrived, one of which was incorrect, a dish we did not even order. After another 15 minutes the other two orders arrived, one of which again was incorrect. As 3 of the 5 people in our party enjoyed their breakfast, two continued to wait another 20 minutes to receive their food. One more dish came out that was correctly made. However one person in our party still did not have their food. After yet another 20 minutes and 4 conversations with the server and the manager, the last order in our party arrived, and what do you know, it was incorrect again! We spoke with the manager once again to show her that after 1 hour and 45 minutes of waiting we still did not get the dish the way we ordered it. By the time they made the corrections we were asking for it to go. To rectify the situation the manager offered 50 percent off of our bill which was a nice gesture, but in light of the situation I can’t say that I will ever be returning to this restaurant.

    Lovely Staff and Incredible Service…… My first encounter with The Egg & I chain was in Colorado last year before my husbands unexpected passing. We were so impressed with the service and food that we were so excited to learn that a location was going to be coming to our home town in Lee’s Summit, MO. Due to unforeseen medical issues my husband passed away before the opening of the location in Lee’s Summit. I have tried to visit a couple of times but the popularity has been overwhelming. Parking is a bit of a problem but once I was seated I was greeted by a very bubbly and personable waitress named Sara. She was very helpful about any questions I had about the menu and gave very great meal suggestions. She even got a gluten friendly menu for my friend to look at. It has been a while since I have had eggs cooked to my exact request. I tend to make several changes to my food when I order because of medical issues. Some servers in the past have seemed frustrated or put out but she was very helpful and made sure that everything was exactly to my liking!!! The food was outstanding. I couldn’t help but overhear the table next to me talk about how well she handled the fussy toddler that they had with them. I wanted to express my wonderful dining experience with the manager but he wasn’t readily available. But the pleasant young lady at the register assured me that she would pass along the message of how pleased I was with my server and my meal. I will most certainly be back and will request for Sara again I enjoyed her infectious spark of enjoyment. It really brightened my day as well as my very good friend who was dining with me. It’s rare you find that anymore. Lee’s Summit needed a great breakfast spot like this. They have a FAN in me now and I will spread the word!!

    Great food OK service. I was very excited to try this place out after waiting for it to finally open (which didn’t seem to take very long) the server I had didn’t seem overly friendly but was by no means rude, the food however made up for the lack of service who ever is back in the kitchen today (Tuesday 12/30/14 ) they sure know what they are doing! I almost wanted to walk to the back and shake his hand for preparing such a great meal!

    Breakfast guest. I had the Belgian and egg breakfast. Wonderful meal, and great service. I believe our server was Zach who was attentive and did a great job.

    Service leaves something to be desired. During my first visit for breakfast we had a waiter named Zach. He was TERRIFIC! The food was good, too. For lunch and now for breakfast service has been slow and food was iffy. Can’t say I like it and can’t say I don’t.Don’t recommend the scrambled dishes…The consistency of the eggs is too loose. Frittata and hash were good.
