Great prices and portions!. I love going to El Jim’s for many things. It’s inexpensive, has great drink specials mon-thurs, free chips and salsa, good food/service, and it’s quick. The salsa is really good too because it’s not too tomatoey and the cheese dip is amazing! I order the pollo bandido everytime! 9$

Good Classic Mexican Food. Always have liked El Jimmies. Their salsa is great as well as their fajitas. Although it is your typical Mexican food, the food quality is never bad and the service is always timely and welcoming.

This is absolutely my favorite mexican restaurant. You get that authentic Mexican experience, the service is great and the fajita Jalisco is to die for! Did I meantion their margaritas are amazing? Love it!

Nice micheladas!. The Missouri Blvd. El Jimador makes what is by far the best michelada I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve ordered one at the one in Columbia off Clark Ln., as well; however, it wasn’t nearly as lively as this one. In fact, it wasn’t on the menu, IIRC. At any rate, I’d advise all beer lovers to give it a shot, because this is the real deal.

It’s alright. People like it, and the food isn’t too bad. However, it’s not really any different from any other generic mexican place. We have three El Jimador’s in town, and they all have the same menu, as does El Espolon.

Among other factors, I judge a mid-Mo Mexican joint largely by: 1) is there much on the menu besides all the Tex-Mex stuff I could get in any one of a hundred Mexi-troughs?, and 2) is the guacamole anything chunkier and more flavorful than a tasteless green toothpaste-consistency avocado pure? This place fails, on both counts.

The worst food I have ever had in a restaurant. This is the first review I have ever written because it takes a lot for me to right a bad review, I ordered the # 3 combination, on the menu I believe it says beef not ground beef as it should, the meat had a funky filler out of the bag taste, the chile relleno was frozen food and it tasted like it, it would have been nice to have a couple of tortilla’s on the side with a little sour cream and a little more sauce, when the plate was brought to the table and i saw a taco shell from a box I should have walked out, no beans and rice on my plate ouch, my daughters plate of tacos carne asada in (flour tortillas) werer terrable (she loves carne asada taco’s) as for the beans a funky taste and very runny with 5 maybe 6 strands of cheese, as for the rice not good at all, my sons plate same, very simple stuff not cooked right, we as most poeple do love Mexican food and usually wobble out of a good Mexican restaurant, , this is not good Mexican food, management take this very serious if you want failure you are on your way, this was a restaurant impossible moment.
