The food was amazing. The portions were huge. I had country fried chicken and it was massive and delicious. My mom had catfish and it was really good. Both the chicken and catfish didn’t taste like they were deep fried. They must use fresh grease. My moms boyfriend had a burger. It was huge and great. A+++ for Veit’s. I’m from Kansas City and I like this place better than pubs back home. It was a great choice.

Veit’s has announced that they will be open for Thanksgiving serving turkey dinner. Reservations are not needed, except for parties of 8 or more. Their Facebook posting has more details.27 Oct, 2013Prime Rib Special Fri & Sat. The Veit family is well-respected in the Jefferson City area. after being out of action for a while they have acquired the former Moose Brothers and have opened a sports bar. we went there to try out the weekend prime rib special. generous portion of good meat and good mashed potatoes. they lived up to their reputation. we hope to return to try some of the other dishes that they’re famous for.
