Wanted something different. Didn’t want a chain. Glad we found BIG R’s. Lunch was so good ,we went back for dinner. Great atmosphere. Great service. We will be back!
I have been here twice now, and have enjoyed it very much. The food and service have been excellent! My husband loves the drinks served in mason jars. Just the right amount without requiring refill. We only come to Joplin every 3-4 months but always make this our meal stop.
Some of the best of what Joplin has to offer. Best bar b q and BEST pie.

Great Hometown BBQ !. Our family stopped here and found the food well worth the wait We had delicious warm yeast rolls and apple butter while we waited. The Brisket was tender and flavorful. All side dishes were excellent. Our daughter had the Kickin’ Chicken and loved it, the caramelized onions were to die for. We did not try the fried appetizers as the portions of the meals of patrons around us looked to be more than we could eat. Instead our family of four shared a piece of the incredible peanut butter chocolate pie and we were glad that we had forgone the appetizer. Dcor was clean, music was fun, restrooms immaculate! We plan to make this a regular stop on our next trip west.
