Was hopeful with the new menu things would be better here but we r here On a saturdayfor lunch, 5 tables have people and we have waited over an hour. Pathetic place
I went to make a to- go order there today to find out they do not open till Noon! What a stupid buisness decision. You would think that a place like 609 would want to be open as soon as possible for the lunch crowds especially on a Saturday.
609 is the best place in town for dinner and drinks. Happy hour on the weekends is till 8 pm. Key lime martini s are the best. 2 for 1 on happy hour. Service is hit and miss. Ragenia is the best. :). And yes you will have to wait and may not even get a table on the weekends if you don’t have reservations. The soup is always delicious.
Great food but be prepared to wait!!!. Love the food the scallops satay and bruschetta are awesome appetizers and reasonably priced also have many entrees worth trying! Best sea scallops in Joplin-tied with Crabbys…..but be prepared to wait for your food.
Cool atmosphere.. Club 609 is one of the coolest places that Joplin has. The food was pretty good, I got some Stir Fry Chicken stuff and the drinks were good. They have a strange happy hour time because we went on a Friday night at 7 and it was 2 for 1 drinks so that was pretty sweet. I would recommend trying it sometime.
I’ve tried this place severa times. Not too bad if they aren’t busy. Ast time my wife & I went we stood by the host stand for a long time. We made eye contact with more than one employee. I know they work there from previous visits. We were never greeted, more like out right ignored. We left and went to another downtown establishment. Haven’t been back since. The food ranges from really good to ok, service is rarely good, unless you sit at the bar.
Good food but… Ok, so I’m a major foodie and will give most places a chance even if I see decent to good ratings. I was hesitant to go here at first because the comments on the long wait for food. So we timed it..The breakdown: Service was fine. There were about 10 people eating and 7 people at the bar. The restaurant can hold about 50 people in the main dining area. It took about 15-20 mins to get our appetizer which was 6 small chicken skewers (good though!). It took another 20-25 mins to get our food was a half sandwich/salad combo and the other dish was salmon and veggies. They also gave us bread and butter but we got that after our appetizers and close to the time we got our main course. The butter was almost frozen (I know they keep it cold) but they could at least set it out while the food is cooking to soften it up. Food was pretty good, that’s the only reason I would go back.
