Best Sushi in Joplin. No there are not that many sushi places in Joplin, but I promise this is the best. The others are actually pretty terrible. The fish tastes fresh, is cut well (if you have ever had a piece of nigiri sushi that was cut wrong you know how important this is), the service has been slow the last few times I’ve been there but I always go back because I can’t live without some sushi every once and a while. They also so a good job on some of the more americanized rolls, and their other dishes that I’ve tried have been great.

Worried about going to a sushi Restaurant with a non sushi eater. No problem! He had Teriyaki chicken with sushi as a second choice of several ( which I ate – it was great ), and his dinner also came with a salad , soup and rice, more than he could finish. The soup very good ( miso ), the chicken moist and tender. I also had wonderful Duck and Vegie spring rolls as an appetizer, which were wonderful. Try it, you’ll love it!
We had the Teriyake chicken & beef. It was gross! Too much Teriyake sauce and the beef was not very good.
I have been eating @ Ichiban for many years. It is the best. I’ve had sushi all over the place, & it is my favorite!! Best to make reservations & not be in a hurry. My husband & I go there always for any occasion we can think up. Go!!!
Really great sushi. I will be back. Maybe for lunch tomorrow.
