Grilled romaine heaven! Delicious with their grilled chicken! Additionally, their yummy stuffed mushroom appetizer had a creamy, bacon filling, was topped with cheese and fresh cut green onions. Everyone enjoyed their lunch.
Best restaurant in Joplin. We have been a customer since the beginning. They always have great service, food, and the atmosphere is awesome. Dave is a great restaurateur and nobody is better. I would recommend Red Onion to anyone. They also have the Red Onion expressaria which is also great.
Wonderful Local Good Eats. I love to recommend this restaurant to out-of-towners. It is a can’t miss place. They have always had wonderful service and food is YUMMY! I love the pasta meals…and the smoked chicken dip for an appetizer. They have a wonderful house salad dressing you just have to try. It will be busy, so get there early or call in for reservations!
I like it for lunch. The chicken walnut salad is consistently good. the house dressing is definitely on the sweet side and kind of thick, i think i’d like a more acidic one with less thickening agent. i like the smoked chicken dip. the bruschetta bread is always nice a crispy and the chopped tomato has great flavor. pretty decent lunch food.
Wonderful meal and great service!. After reading other reviews I was not sure if I was wise on going here but I am so very glad that I did!!! I had the grilled apple gorgonzola pork loin and it was delicious! The pork was juicy and tender plus the combination of apple and gorgonzola cheese was wonderful. The smashed new potatoes and roasted vegetables were a perfect compliment to the pork. I finished the meal with a slice of their carmel fudge pecan cake….. what can I say it was to die for!!!! My server’s name was Brittany and she was fantastic! Even though the place seemed fairly busy for a Monday night she took great care of me…. I didn’t want for a thing!!! I am from the western suburbs of Chicago and have not been to Joplin in many years. The next time I come by this way I will make a point to have a meal at The Red Onion Cafe!!! Kudos!!!!
One of Joplin’s Finest. Head to downtown Joplin and grab some lunch at this place. Absolutely awesome! Jake Daggett is a fantastic server and their service all-around is top notch!
Great Food. I stopped here while traveling. It was worth the drive off the Interstate. I was seated immediately and the food and service were great. I had their salmon special and it came with rice, veggies and french onion soup. It might be the best french onion soup I’ve ever tasted. The side veggies were an interesting variety and cooked perfectly and the Salmon was yummy.
