Good pizza, little place, nice people. I love to come by here on a weeknight after work and grab a beer and pizza, just to unwind my day. Super laid back, very tiny little shack, but good pizza. The staff is always really friendly and the owners are really nice people.
Best Pizza. This is one of the best pizzas I’ve ever eaten. The crust was perfect, thin and well done, like I like it. We ordered perreroni with all three color bell peppers and mushrooms. The toppings were thick, fresh and delicious. The place was small and kind of smoky (with the aroma of a real wood burning oven) which made the atmosphere really nice. We are staying in Joplin for another week and will definitely come back before we return to Louisiana.
Delicious!. We absolutely love Woody’s Woodfire Pizza. The smokey woodfire flavor sets it apart from other average pizzas. For those that have made comments about the pizza being obviously made from frozen crust, you must have never been inside. If you have been inside the establishment and watched them make the pizzas (which is a lot of the fun), you would have noticed them making the crust. We have eaten pizzas from all over the country and to call this pizza average is severely inadequate. The pizza is amazing.
Great place, ok pizza. Woody’s is such a cool place and I like the people who run it a lot. That is why it pains me that their pizza isn’t better than it is. The problem is the crust. The crust is clearly a Sisco brand pre-made crust that is like eating cardboard, not rising no bubbles just a hard bland piece of cardboard. I feel sympathy because I don’t think they have to room to make their own dough and that is a shame. The toppings are fine and I eat here fairly often for the atmosphere on the outside deck area, but every time I’m disappointed in the pizza and I frequently wonder why I keep eating it.
Just not good. Pizza tasted like most, if not all ingredients including the crust came out of a box.
Decent. The lunch buffet is why I don’t like this restaurant. Almost every time I’ve gone, there is a contest to see who gets a piece when a new pizza gets cooked. The pizza does not taste amazing either. I’m not a Pizza Hut guy, but there is nothing terribly unique about it.
Good pizza!. Though the crust is thin (not my 1st choice), the pizza is good! Small, dark and cozy dining room (bar-like), with outdoor seating ’round back when the weather is nice.
