Where has this place been all my life?. Casinos usually aren’t my thing. A friend of mine was in town for the weekend, and wanted to meet up with some of our old friends, it was decided we visit Ameristar. We all were hungry, so what better way to relive the past than talking over beer and wings? I didnt even know this place existed! It was like finding a gold mine! It was absolutely huge! And come to find out, a microbrewery! It felt like we were greeted by every person that worked there. It was a saturday afternoon, not too busy. Our waitress bwalt (onticket, dont think that is her real name?!) was very attentive to our needs and requests. Two of the guys in our group wanted to watch two different sporting events that was taking place, and it wasnt a problem to get the tvs change! which i might add are huge! and there had to be at least 200 of them! the booths had their own tvs! Might I add, Touchscreen! oh ya! Anyway, we had no idea what any of the beer tasted like, since we didnt even know this pot of gold existed! The waitress explained all of them in detail, which i believe there are four of plus the seasonal, which at the time was an ipa. We ended up getting a tower, yeah, thats right i said a TOWER! 100 ounces of refreshing beer, we all got to play bartender, and poured our own glass out of the spout. which surprisingly kept cold the whole 30-35 minutes we drank on it. Between the six of us, we got to each have a glass and then some! My favorite was the Blond, clean and crisp with a little bit of a honey floral finish. We all ordered apps to share. Spinach and Artichoke here is to die for! Very yummy! Also, we munched on their beer battered onion rings which had a very good sweet flavor… the wings were also very good, breaded, but good! We will most definitely be back! Can’t wait to come and watch the chiefs this year, if we arent at the game, we will be here! Drinkin’ beer! This place is a must!!!!Ameristar should do some advertising for this place!

Blah….. The food was okay, but the beer was definitely subpar. Bland, uninspired beer. The Lager should be avoided entirely. Bartender was good, but not enough to overcome the poor beer.

We go every so often when we go to the boat. food is not bad but it is kinda pricey for bar food. my main complaint is the service is always terrible. doesn’t matter if it’s busy or not it’s just bad service. BUT, I do love their beers that they make

Expensive Snack Shop. This place trimmed their menu and now features mostly greasy appetizer type foods. I’ve had the Philly which was really greasy ground hamburger with green peppers, the hamburgers were good but over priced, and chicken strips often come out overcooked. I’ve not had their salad as I saw one once…for the price you’d expect a quality salad….not happening here! I guess its a bar so what do I expect? For the price, much better quality!
