Was a bit dis appointmented. Slow night for food. I’ve had pork Carnitas and I couldn’t chew them. Over cooked I suppose. Waiter was hard to find. This wasn’t what I expected this time. Ill try again another day????
Poor experience. So very disappointed…I’ve been going to Chelly’s for a couple of years and have LOVED it. Have taken family and friends numerous times, at least a few times a month if not more. The last two times have changed my opinion considerably. Ordered hot sauce to go with the chips, never came, or have had to ask for it multiple times. Ordered dinner, and food took forever and shells are coming out completely soggy and disgusting. Server never really greeted us at all, never smiled, asked for order and made us feel like we were simply a pain. Never came back to the table so we could order fresh food that hadn’t been sitting so long. Our server never apologized for the food or made comment upon delivering the fresher food. Had to go to the counter after waiting a considerable time for the checks, never able to get the server’s attention each time. Received incorrect change for our cash payments, and when I pointed it out, at one point was given 7 cents more. Not even close…… Used to leave at least a 40% tip each time because I loved the atmosphere, service and food. Customer service is one of my most important reasons for being a come back customer. I hope they can pull their act back together soon or we will NOT be returning.

Lookinng for Shrimp Burritos???. Look no further than Chelly’s. Honestly when I walked in the door I didn’t expect much. I have several favorite mexican restuarants and honestly was not in the mood to try a new one. My daughter LOVES CHELLY’S so off we went…… I asked for a recommendation and was immediately steered to the Shrimp Burritos! While we waited the chips and salsa was OUTSTANDING….then came the entre…the presentation was good….the taste…..SPECTACULAR!!! Don’t be mislead by the modest appearance. Chelly’s is a hidden gem! AMAZING…we’ll DEFINITELY BE BACK!
Just Ok. Really liked the enchilada and my daughter thought her quesadilla was excellent. But, chips seemed stale and the rest was just ok. We’d go back, but will probably try other places instead.
I wouldn’t go back. The waitress was very polite, but the service was very slow. I had three types of enchiladas, chicken , beef, and pork. the pork was not bad but the rest was not tasty at all. My daughter had the tamale which I tasted and we both hated it. Her burrito was not tasty either. Thank God I had a Muncharoo coupon. The atmosphere was friendly with a lot of families with kids and some couples on a Friday night. I will never return. There are way better Mexican restaurants out there. El Patron being my favorite.
I’d say it was amazing but then I’d be lying. Chelly’s was not as great as expected. The service was very slow. At most mexican restaurants such as Jose Peppers, Fronteras, and Mi Ranchito they give you chips and salsa to syart off on. my brother’s food was cold and his chips were much to hard. I think I will stick to Fronteras.
