We enjoy Italian family style and the food is good. However, the wait staff is not friendly and the poor reviews on service is very accurate. The space is tight and dark but it does give you a real local feel. We liked the atmosphere. The wine list is average at best and dont ask for help in choosing your wine.
Great food and service. Horrible management very unprofessional. Witnessed him talking down to wait staff. Will not return due to this. No one deserves to be treated that way and will not line managements pockets ever again as a customer. Would rather drive 45 minutes to Lee’s summit location.

Been here several times, and will continue to do so. If you’re looking for traditional Italian food, you’ll be hard-pressed to find anywhere better. I’ve tried several things on the menu, and the worst is amazing! If you’re just passing through, and don’t make it to Kansas City very often, get the Chicken Spedini – it’s the best you’ll ever have!
Wedding Catering. We had Garozzo’s cater our wedding at the Cellar 222 in Kansas City and they did an excellent job. They arrived on time, assisted in setting up and had all the food ready on time. It’s best to reach Todd by phone as he seems to be overwhelmed with emails. He stayed himself and assisted during setup and serving. Jonathon was absolutely incredible! He seemed to be everywhere and handled our party of 35 by himself with ease. I can’t say enough good things about him. Somehow the serving spatula didn’t get packed to serve the cake with and he stepped in and served the cake including removing the top section with only a knife. I’m not sure if you can request him but I would definitely ask!! I highly recommend their catering servicesJohn and Kelly
Garozzos was only good about 20 or 25 years ago when Anthony Ferrara was the Chef down there. He is the one who made that whole menu and all those sauce recipes. When garozzo’s first opened up and Ferrara was there the chicken Spiedini was called Spiedini alla Ferrara. Mike Garozzo took a lot of credit for what Anthony Ferrara did in that kitchen
Ceo. What a great place for a family, date or business meeting. Get away from normal chain restaurant’s and impress who ever you are with. A place they will remember.
