Northeast Guy. I was turned on to this place by my Brother In Law. When I come to Kansas City from New England to visit I make it my priority to Stop in and get a burger. I was a little disappointed to see them closed during the New Years Eve Day. I WOULD DRINK CHAMPAGNE WITH THIS BURGER!! However I will kick off the New Year with a JIM’S FATBURGER.. This time I will get a Double or a Triple.

Tasty burger!. I had the bacon double cheeseburger with onion rings. To me, the burgers are very similar to Five Guys but bigger. I think they use 1/3 lb patties. The onion rings were good. No fountain drinks…you can buy can/bottle drinks at the counter, or the $1 vending machine for Pepsi cans. The place is very tiny…only one 3-person table you can eat at, and bench seats for waiting. A lot of people call ahead and carry out. The menu posted on 3/13/14 is outdated. Add about 50 cents to all the burger and side prices.

Definitely one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. It is a hard to find hole in the wall type of place. But truly worth the effort. Just got remodeled, so that’s why the confusion about being closed. But is back open! Which is a great thing if you like an amazing burger!
