Horrible. The place was filthy. The staff was rude. When I ordered a margarita, I was billed separately for each ingredient and was told by management that they don’t actually make margaritas- that you have to pay for the ingredients and tell the bartender to build it. The drinks were wrong when we got them originally and the food was wrong when we got it. When we’d finally had enough and asked to speak with a manager, it was painfully obvious she did not care one ounce. She rolled her eyes at us, argued with us, and ended up just walking away before the situation was resolved. We will never be back and they don’t care- which is the real problem. FYI Margarita’s: you are in a customer service industry, act like it. There is a reason why the Mexican restaurant half a block away was on a 45 minute wait while there was plenty of seating available at Margaritas South

Cold food. We have eaten here before and the food was fine, but this Sunday really left a bad taste in my mouth, literally. When our food came my my husbands soup was cold. My quesadilla was a little burnt, cold and the quacamole on top was brown. It was like they made our food and then realized they needed to make chicken strips for our child and let our stuff sit there while they finished up the order. We let our waitress (who had already forgotten our order of cheese dip) know and she said they would make it again fresh and hot. I had taken one bite off the quesadilla. When it was returned ‘fresh and hot’ I could tell it was the same order that had been thrown in the microwave and then fresh sour cream and quacamole put on top. I took another bite and it was chewy and greasy tasting. This probably won’t be on the top of our list to eat at again.

Not so good. The food is not good to say the least. Never was good. Don’t understand why they reopened. They left for a reason. recently there with friends and the place was packed, loud, and service was terrible. We also waited for quite some time just for chips and drinks. Tacos were awful. Could not eat mine. Greasiest thing I’ve ever tried to eat.

Good food ok service. This is the first time we tried the south kansas city. The food was good not great… ordered a chicken tamale al a carte and the spinach and cheese enchiladas. the enchiladas were great. 8 out of ten… only becuase the plate was so hot, and the beans were really really dry. The second plate was sloppily made – it looked like 2 teaspoon of white beans and a double order of rice. The tamale was really not moist at all.. the enchiladas were delicious seriously good and so where the beans and rice with a little salsa on them. Drinks try the peach margarita it was yummyServiceOur waitresses was nice and friendly. She steadily refilling our chips and salsa and waters. She was friendly but forgot to buy the margaritas on rocks not frozen and brought our check too soon we were not even close to being done with our food. I gave my card and she brought it back and took it off the table to check the tip before we had even packed up our left overs. We are had to ask for another to go box as it was a lot of food. And then a bag..Overall I would give it 7 out of 10.Our service could have been better.

Food was good, service was awful. I went last night around 7:30 and the place was not very busy. I was seated in the bar and waited 5 minutes for chips and salsa to be brought to my table 10 minutes for my drink order to be taken. There were people seated behind us and in front of us that were served faster and received their food and drinks before me. It took over 15 minutes to get my appetizer, and over 25 to get my meal. I couldn’t quite make out the comments behind me, but those people were complaining about the service too. You could tell the bartenders did not get along well, and I’m sure that’s the reason it took so long to get my margarita. The food was great, but the service was awful. I will not be returning to this place.

It was good. Salsa good, guac-sub-par. Had a combo platter with taco and enchiladas. No complaints. The sangria was good also. Service, not bad-the place was packed!
