Pretty good food. This has become our go-to sushi spot since our old fave closed down. Never had an issue with the food, always get exactly what we asked for. Can’t say much about service because we always order and pick it up. The price is a tad bit high, but you get what you pay for and the quality is excellent. The only complaint I have is that they don’t serve fried rice. How can you serve hibachi without fried rice?? This irritates me a little. Add fried rice to the menu and you would have 5 stars from me 🙂

I’ve been here many times and only had a problem with the order once. Once out of roughly 25 times is good. I really like the food from apps, to entrees and the sushi, all good. The service is usually ok for me, sometimes it could use some work though. Not to expensive and in a nice place.

Some of the best sushi in the Northland. As good as it is – the price still seems a little steep. Only been in the restaurant once, because I usually call ahead, and carry-out. The one time we did eat in the restaurant, service was good.

The worst place ever. This was my 3rd time here. Not by choice either. I should of just skipped lunch. Service was horrible! Our waitress was ok at first. Ordered calamari. the batter was under cooked and it was like eating a rubber band. It even made that snapping noise like one too! I had to go get our own napkins, chopsticks and other dining utensils after our waitress dropped off our appetizer. Then she disappeared for awhile. Finally our sushi came. It was ok. Never saw our server again! Not even the guy behind the sushi counter. There was no one around. I have never wanted to walk out of a restaurant before in my entire life without paying. After waiting over 15 minutes a new girl come to our table and sets the check down and asks if we need anything else. Seriously! I work as server in a restaurant! The worst customer service! We were the only people in the entire place.

The owner of this restaurant NEEDS to reevaluate staff. The sushi is OK. I think the food itself has great potential but people just can’t get past the horrible service. The turn around for employees is high. The employees are rude, oblivious (whether on purpose or just pure laziness) and ruining this restaurant. I only went for meetings with a client because it was closest to them but every time the service was just horrible. Horrible enough to make you wonder if you were being pranked and the people from Candid Camera were going to come walking out!) Waiting 10+ minutes for acknowledgement while a female employee talks on her cell at the cash register (at least be discreet about it). That is just one instance. It’s obvious some (not all) staff don’t want to be there and the customers can easily sense that.

I’m not certain what all the fuss is about. This place is wonderful, staff are friendly and helpful. The cuts of fish are quite generous for the price. I can’t speak to the tax rate coming from out of town, but the price is still reasonable.

I just left the restaurant after having the rudest treatment by one of their waiters. Btw I am sitting at Wasabi in Liberty as I write this review. I pulled up to Moonlight and finished a phone conversation. It was 1:36pm. I walked up to the door and the waiter who looked positively angry with a frown on his face put his hand up to his throat and made the cut motion. Like he was cutting me off. This entire time looking at me very with a very angry expression. Four things I’d like to point out about this place. 1. This place has good sushi not amazing sushi. 2. I have gone there for years and rarely do I leave there without dropping at least $60 bucks. Today I was by myself so I would not have spent that but generally it is between $60-$100. 3. The key was in the door still. I get that some places close after lunch – although I would argue that 1:30 is pushing it. The polite thing to do was to crack the door open and say I’m sorry but we are closed. I would have been fine with that. Further there is NOTHING on their web site that says they close for lunch. It clearly indicates they are open from 11:30am-9:30pm through the week. No problem with you closing for lunch but have the courtesy to update your web site. 4. I am eating at Wasabi. They were fast and extremely pleasant and served me when I arrived at 1:48 and the sushi was comparable to Moonlight. I won’t go back. Moonlight read your reviews about lousy service and get rid of your slow smart xss servers.
