My experience at Pop’s.. My friend and I were looking for a mom and pop style restaurant when we stopped in for a peek at the menu. When we were told that every item is homemade we were doubtful. We decided to test the food out and both of us were impressed. We plan on making this a twice a week stop for a long time. I highly recommend the food. It’s as good as my grandma used to make.
Long Wait and manager was rude. We waited an hour for our food. When it was delivered it was not correct. We had to ask 2 or s times to get the condiments for our tenderloins. We received chips instead of fries. The manager was called out and was very rude to us. The only thing good was the food. Service was not good. We will never come back.
I will never know how the food tastes. I just walked out. I hope they give the chicken fried steak and scrambled eggs with wheat toast to someone that’ll enjoy it. After waiting 20 minutes for the meal I just described and watching other tables that walked in after me get their food first I figured it must be fresh and being prepared to order. NOT. I saw the no personality antique waitress lean to the other antique and laugh that she forgot to put my order in. oh well, I’m where I should’ve went in the first place for a delicious meal and friendly staff: The Big Biscuit. thanks for sucking pop’s.
We decided to go out to eat here because we heard great things about the place. My husband ordered cornbeef hash, after two bites he started gagging and wanted to leave. The eggs were horrible and tasted like they had never cleaned the grill. The english muffin was rubbery and smelled like dirty feet and he was shocked they could actually ruin the hash since it primarily comes in a can. I ordered the tenderloin sandwich which was ok but my fries were rubbery and way undercooked. We will never go back.
The tenderloin is to die for and REAL mashed potatoes…
Surprisingly good in a matchbox size place. I decided to try Pops out of whim one day while shopping I have not been able to go three or four days without going there now. I am a country fried steak guy and they have a good one. Don’t forget meatloaf is on Wed. I also highly recommend that as well. Do not let looks fool you it is a good place to eat. I would talk about the pies but they are sold out every time I go so they have got to be great or they would have them when I went.
Good home style food at a good price.
