We had to wait a really long time for our table. It was crazy busy, which even though they explained why you have to wait, it’s pretty annoying. I liked all of my food, except for the chicken itself. Ironically. The soup, salads, sides and cinnamon rolls are worth going for, just not the chicken. Plus, at this location parking can be tricky if they are busy. this location has a certain charm about it.
Looking forward to tomorrow night, this is the best fried chicken in America, (my option) I have experienced Stroud’s many time in the 90’s and it was the best, the very best fried chicken that we ever had…..I will update the review tomorrow night.
Bland. I’ve been here twice, not of my choosing. I have always found their food on the bland side. Many people rave about Strouds, but I’ve just never seen the attraction. I’d honestly rather have KFC chicken which has a lot of flavor to it versus what I get at Strouds.
For all you jaggoffs who say you don’t get it, there’s plenty of KFCs for you.
Massive portions of average food. If you are the type of person that likes taking home leftovers, this place is for you. If you like well thought out food that is full of flavor, this place is not for you. The food is very average and I think if it weren’t for the nostalgic character and family feel, this place would not get anywhere near as many rave reviews.
The usual. Chicken noodle soup. Family style: chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, and green beans. Then, cinnamon rolls w/ a glass of milk.Get sick from eating too much.Bring the left overs home.Every time.Forever.Love this place.
