Good Thai Food. I have gotten carryout from Thai House a handfull of time and it was always very good. There was one time where we felt our portions were slightly smaller than usual but as it only happened once I am not too concerned. We tried this place, honestly, out of convenience and it turned out to be pretty good. The noodle dishes and curries are just as good as I have come to expect from any good thai restaurant with equivalent prices. Solid food and worth a try. Have only gotten taken out so I cannot comment on the dine-in experiece.

Worst. Place. Ever. The crab Rangoon is syrupy goop. No crab. No cream cheese. $15 for an entree? Good luck finding 4 pieces of chicken. Terrible food. Rip off.
Good food, Bad wife. Almost every Pay Day, we use to eat here for lunch. Dine-in or carry-out, it was our Pay Day splurge. We love the Beef laab – super yummy. Although there’s been a few times they switched cooks and the dish just wasn’t the same with each cook’s differing use of herbs, but we keep going back. Once we got a waitress who had the worst attitude. You’d think for repeat customers, she’d be more appreciative. I complained to one of the guys, and turned out HE was the owner and she his wife, making her co-owner. So I told him she needed an attitude improvement and maybe should work as little as possible with the public. Yeah, I was pretty gutsy, but we go there all the time – no need to be waited on by Negative Nancy. But he’s a nice personable guy, so we keep going back. (Perhaps they balance each other out.) Our last time ordering out, the waitress botched up our order and got us some sweet beef salad stuff that ruined our lunch…our day…and we were really disappointed, but dangit, we’ll keep going back. Because it’s pretty good food…just as long as we don’t have to deal with the wife. This is pay week – so yep, we’ll probably go back.
I went yesterday, which was Friday afternoon. The server was nice and able to make suggestions. We started with the crab ragoon which was phenomenal. But from there it declined. The Thai House Fried Rice was colorless and just ok on flavor. The rice noodles were a strange texture that played tricks with my mind. Bottom line it looks great inside, people are friendly, but the food wasn’t enough to entice me back.
Went for lunch. Good not great. A little salty for me. Good price, good service.
Some of the Best Thai Around. The Thai House may not have the awards or name recognition of The Thai Place restaurants, but it makes a strong case for being recognized as an equal in the Thai Food category. Located at 99th and Holmes, most people in South KC, MO might not even know about this little dining gem, but it’s definitely worth a trip in the next time you are craving Thai.
