Good BYO burger! They didn’t mention that the grilled onions cost extra as well as the lettuce instead of a bun. Our waitress was terrible and crazy slow. so if you have places to be, don’t go here. seems like the happy hour specials are good though and changes nightly.
We stopped in and there was only one other family. Pizza were cold in the middle. They use that crappy crumble beef. Avoid the taco salad- same unflavored crumble beef. The friendly waitress did the hated I am so smart I don’t write anything down. We placed 5 orders (no specials) and she forgot one order completely. Then charged us full price! Won’t be returning.
LIKE. Been going here for about 4 years…the food is good, staff is friendly and most bands are great…We have always had a good time here..and the owner is awesome. Completley recommend this place!
Didn’t like it. I’ve never gone here on the weekday, I’ve always gotten the impression that it is more of a bar to go to when you don’t want to drive downtown kc. After hearing about it, I decided to go on a saturday night. Don’t get me wrong, the late night appetizers that I have tried were actually pretty good, but nothing special or different. The first time I went, they had their rooftop open, and it was a busy night. As soon as I come up the stairs I see 3 girls bent over with skirts on the top step, and a male taking a picture at the bottom. I smirked and thought it was humorous more than anything. But shortly after, I guess one of the girls’ boyfriend picked a fight with the photographer. Me and my friends were shoved out of the way and had to avoid the fight. It took awhile before they were broken up, and I think it was just two of the dudes friends that help deflate the situation, not security. We finished our drinks and left shortly after. Even though my first experience was not enjoyable, I decided to give it another try with some friends. That was a mistake. It was packed and there was barely any room to move around. I was groped several times, and had a man aggressively grab my arm and pull me towards him as I was walking by. He had grabbed my arm so hard that he left a red hand print. My girlfriend had a guy put his hands up her dress as she was walking by as well. After being man handled and given the stink eye by the majority of the women, we decided it would be better if we just left. So unless you want to get man handled and followed by several hungry wide eyed men, I wouldn’t suggest going there. Maybe if the security did more than just check the ID’s at the front door, I would be more willing to go. But they seem to be more interested in mingling with customers and co workers than making sure everyone is safe and having a good time.Maybe I’ll give it one last shot and go on a weekday afternoon and get a few drinks on the patio. I’d like to try some of their main dishes and see if it’s any good. That seems more my speed. Otherwise, I won’t be going here on the weekends anymore.
Best Bar up north. Yes its a little crowded, however, they have the best bar food in Kansas City. Number one on the fried pickles list (and yes believe me I have tried them all) Also their two for $1 tacos on Tues are amazing. Come on Sundays and they have a sazzy little comic (known as the drunk club) super fun
Longlive the BT. Brew Top (place used to be Granfalloons) has one thing I go for, their specials. They have a 5 dollar app menu and decently priced drinks during certain times of the day. I don’t go for the drinks, flirting, or anything else so I can not comment on that. Everyone here may be being too hard on them or they may be accurate, I can’t tell. They have an enormous tenderloin sandwich that is overwhelming and gets tiring after a bit but it’s good. The chicken nachos are a little dry but I still find myself craving them. The food is pretty decent all around from everything I’ve had there. I preferred it as the falloons though because they used to have an amazing ranch and bluecheese with their wings. It’s an okay place if you’re just looking for a place to hang out for a few minutes after work.
Meh. This place is mediocre at best. They can’t make food or drinks correctly, and I’m constantly surprised it’s still open. If people stopped going there, maybe they’d have to actually TRY, but instead it serves as a meat market for all of the Northland twenty-somethings and somehow that’s enough.
