Uncommonly Great. That Bouktouf the first week was superfine, and I’ve got my eye on that curried number this week. And what a great little garage space, on such a lovely street. Of course, since you’re there, you might as well stop in at Happy Gillis, which still makes the most interesting sandwiches in town, along with SOUP. Yay, Uncommon Stock!

Loving the Soup. As always Todd and his crew put together some tasty food. We have always enjoyed the soups that are prepared next door at their cafe, Happy Gillis. The soups they serve are often modern takes on traditional recipes and always made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. We picked up two of their soups opening weekend – a black bean/chorizo and an eastern European tomato/potato soup. Needless to say we finished off a loaf of baguette and the soups by Sunday night. With fall upon us and winter not far behind, we are looking forward to many a warm soup dinner. In fact we are heading their now to pick up the three new soups they have for this weekend. Todd, if you read this, we really liked the soup you had at Happy Gillis in June of 2012, it was a light vegetable soup with lemon zest in the broth with a dollop of pistachio on top. Just in case you take requests!
