My name is David, many know me by Johnny David or JD for short. I am originally from Wichita, Kansas, although I have spent many years in Kansas City. I currently reside in Lake Ozark, Missouri with my sweetheart Lynda Brown and our Chocolate Lab. I have two boys, Colt and Jeffrey. As a young man I looked forward to cooking with my Mom and learning her family recipes and techniques. I have spent the last 40 plus years working on creating my own cast iron recipes as well as barbecue. With my love for the Kansas City Chiefs , I have spent many years preparing barbecue for Chiefs' tailgating fans which can be up to 80 guests. I have learned how to properly slow smoke ribs, beef brisket and pork butts, as well as creating the perfect rub to enhance the meats natural flavors. I have also been able to perfect my own BBQ sauce. Watching my friends & family enjoy the food that I have prepared for them is the greatest joy I can receive. This has given me the inspiration to share my special recipes by opening my own restaurant. Lynda has spent over 22 years in the Property Management and Real Estate industry. In 2012, she started her own Property Management business, "Vacation Rentals in Lake of the Ozarks". Originally from Texas, Lynda and her two children relocated to beautiful Lake of the Ozarks in 2006 to be near family. Lynda comes from a long family history of entrepreneurs, including her great-grandparents who owned and operated the surrounding Lake Area drive-in theaters in the late 1940's through the early 80's. Lynda has spent most of her life in the business industry, although her true passion is baking sweets and decorating intricate cakes! "When opportunities arise you have to grab them with both hands! Together Lynda and I have chosen to take both of our dreams and GO ALL IN by opening a Homestyle Dining and Bakery Shop for others to enjoy....
