Very interesting place. Prices are very cheap. I had a chocolate malt, fries and a double cheeseburger for under $10. The food however was just ok, nothing really special. Carl’s definitely has better burgers. Waitress was very friendly though!

I dig it. Vintage, awesome. You want food? They have it. 24hrs. Even when we were caught in a snow storm. They were still open. Pretty tasty for $11 for two people. I dig it.

Nice little place–simple and old-fashioned. Good food!

Creepy. Maybe I went at the wrong time, but Eat-Rite totally creeped me out. The fiancee and I stopped in for a pre-show malt before heading to the Old Rock House, so it was about 8pm. Ours was the only car in the parking lot, and we were the only people inside other than the two employees. The counterperson was playing pinball when we walked up, and he just stared at us for a minute or two before pushing the door open (Is it usually locked, or just at night? Or did we come after close and they let us in anyway?) We sat at the counter, and he just stared at us awkwardly, then yelled our order back to the kitchen. I was so happy when the financee told him our malts were to go, because I just wanted to get out of there. I felt like we were in the beginning of a horror movie. To top it off, my malt tasted like the milk had gone bad. Best part: It’s historic?Worst part: Super creepy

A little piece of history still stands. I went and ate at the Eat-Rite diner and felt like I was inside a time capsule. There was an old pinball machine in the corner, a updated rockola style juke box, and a aged waitress/cook who was like a gun fighter on the griddle. The service was decent and the food tasted pretty good. This is a must to eat at, being it is one of fer original route 66 diners. Overall the food was good and the environment was nostalgic, and I had the type of expeirience I had hoped for.

Why are these eggs so crunchy. One guess it was not egg shells that made my eggs crunchy. …..
