Joyce from Arizona. My dad, Norman, recently died. He was 87 years old and lived in Marshfield. While visiting Marshfield the week of his death, we decided to have lunch at my dad’s favorite restaurant, Grillo’s. I can see why he loved going there. We were told he ate there almost every day. When he was too sick to go to Grillo’s, the waitresses would fix food and deliver it to him. They knew he had cancer, lived alone and needed a friend during that very hard time. We were deeply touched by their kindness and human compassion. We want to thank the owner and waitresses for their love and support this last year. It was very much appreciated. We found the tenderloins to be delicious. Their sweet tea, wonderful! Thank you for making a very rough week a little better.
Great All-American type Diner!!!. This used to be a Ziggie’s, and wasn’t very good. Since it has new owners and has been renovated recently, Grillo’s Cafe is the best place to eat in town!!! We are locals, so we eat here quite a bit. The owners are there almost all the time with the wife running the dining room and the husband working as head chef. They have a vested interest in everything going smoothly, and it shows!!! Pleasant home-town atmosphere, coupled with excellent home-cooked type food makes for a great dining experience!
Found this restaurant when my family stopped for gas and needed a place to eat while the highway was cleared of a wreck. Great little local restaurant, family friendly. Server was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. Food arrived quickly and was delicious. We will definitely come back again on our way to/from Springfield.
Grillos in Marshfield is Great!. We recently moved to Marshfield and my family loves loves loves Grillos! The food is excellent and the prices are so much better than Springfield. Portions are large and food is tasty. I recommend the bbq ribs or the fried catfish – both are excellent! Anyway, very glad to have a great cafe in our new hometown! Not a Ziggies anymore. The place is now called Grillos Cafe. We ate there for both breakfast and lunch and found the food to be quite good for cafe fare. I would take it over Denny’s. They have lots of breakfast options including a basic breakfast plate for just three bucks. That is hard to beat in 2011.
