Place is ok. The fried chicken is pretty good but I wouldn’t say it’s the best in St. Louis. What gave this place a 3.0 was the side items. Everything either came out of a can or it was frozen.
Over Rated Chicken:The chicken is good ,it’s the only thing we get when we go here, and that is about once a year.I can’t say that it’s worth driving out of you way to go here, but it is good.Fergie’s in Lemay has much better Fried Chicken and you don’t have to wait in a long line..Yea will go back when we are working in the area , but won’t make a special trip here , to many other place’s in Soulard that have better food and no where near as busy..and you can set outside and enjoy people watching..BUT you should try it because they’re doing something right cuz this place packs them in… you may love it … my sister does … BUT she has never been to FERGIE’S
Country Fried Steak Dinner. Very good large portion love the slaw served with it and potatoes with the while gravy. Yum love it.
Burn Your Month Hot. If you like your food boiling hot, this place is for you. I do not and did not enjoy the meal at the restaurant. However, I brought 80% of my meal home, because it was WAY to hot to eat there, and the leftovers were great. You decide, if you want boiling hot food to enjoy.

The best chicken selection I have ever seen! Fried, tenders, or wings — they’re all amazing! The staff is friendly and understanding! Hodak’s has become one of my favorite go-to restaurants.
We were in the neighborhood, knew nothing about this place but were hungry for lunch. Stopped & it was very busy. Seemed to be fried chicken served at every table so we all ordered fried chicken. It was fabulous. We had Patty as our server and she was friendly & efficient. We will go back. We loved it.
