I’ve eaten here 3 times over several years. The first two were excellent, but I was a little disappointed w/ the roast pork shank ordered recently. My aunt’s chx spiedini was also tepid. The ceasar salad was crisp & tasty, w/ a pungent kick obviously provided by some extra anchovies in the dressing. The service & alchoholic offerings were above average. The tables & our neighbors were a little too close for my comfort.

After so many exceptional meals at Trattoria, I have to write a review. I begin it all with the best Sazerac in St. Louis. We always start with the mushroom and polenta ap. The sauce is sublime! The four chesse pizza is great. . The fish specials are consistently fantastic. The veal marsala is consistently superb. Then finish with the chocolate crme brulee. The atomosphere is so congenial and relaxed. The service is always personal and efficient. Every visit, and we have made many, is a special treat. Have not ever been disappointed. And everyone we ever recommend Trattoria to calls to let us know what a wonderful meal they had.
