Breakfast anytime of the day. It’s breakfast, it’s diner food, it’s satisfying and delicious. There’s not much else to be said about it.The service factor just depends on who you get (and what time it is). I have had an incredibly attentive and pleasant server, and also servers who just bring the food and you never see them again. It was 3 in the morning – who cares. Not me, as long as the food was good.To the other reviewers complaining about tips automatically being on your bill: They have signs posted ALL OVER THE RESTAURANT explaining that during certain hours you will have gratuity added to your bill. You’re welcome.
Best waffles ever! I always get the blueberry ones. I’ve tried lots of other stuff on the menu and its all pretty good, but nothing beats the waffles. Prepare for a wait if you go at the weekend, but the line moves fast.
Stopped by for a late night breakfast. Got the supreme french toast fans eggs. Generous portions.
Decent First Experience. I enjoyed my first time at Uncle Bill’s. we were seated almost immediately, even during busy Saturday brunch hours. the staff was all smiles and our own server was very helpful. she gave me her opinion when I asked for help deciding on food and gave me some tips on side orders. coffee was kept fresh and they had plenty of creamers on the table (a must-have for me). I was able to substitute blueberry pancakes for regular in a platter which made me very happy. the portions were generous and I left the place feeling stuffed! I’ll definitely be returning to try more items on the menu.
Overpriced and lousy service. For two people to eat what barely qualified as a meal, it cost $27! Also, please be advised that if you come in after 1am, they add a 15% gratuity, and do not warn you (understandable, as the server does need to make a living, and some people late at night do not feel the need to tip; however, they need to tell you about it!). I saw my server for a total of ten seconds, and was forced to flag down another server to get a refill on my water. While the biscuits and gravy are delicious, a side of gravy is not worth $2! Go here if you don’t have the extra fifteen seconds to drive to Courtesy Diner, or you really like dirty tables, poor service, and overpriced food.
This Place Sucks!!!. After reading all the great reviews, decided to check it out. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!!! Waitress was slow and disappeared except for taking out order and dropping the food/check. She never refilled my coffee and we had to flag down a different waitress to tell her their was hair on one of our plates. When our waitress finally returned with the adjusted bill, she was barely even apologetic. Oh, and as for the food… pancakes were heavy and gummy and omeletes were so/so.
Best pancakes ever. My kids and I love Uncle Bills, mostly for breakfast. As far as lunch and dinner goes, I’ve had mixed emotions, but breakfast has always been the star. I’m not sure why everyone talks about it being dirty… evidently they’ve never been to Denny’s or IHOP. I smell like grease when I come out of those places.Anyway, UB’s pancakes are my favorite. Denny’s, IHOP, et al are rubbery tasteless nothing compared to UB pancakes. I usually get their 4×2 or whatever they call it breakfast – 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, but substitute bacon for the sausage. Oh yeah, their bacon rocks, too. Thick and perfectly cooked.Their omelets are great, too. I’ll take UB’s over FirstWatch any day (and I enjoy FirstWatch a great deal).
