A Dusty Gem. I was very pleasantly surprised by this place. It is in a gas station. There are approximately 10 – 15 seats on 5 or 6 little tables. There is no fanfare and the place looks like a dive. Having said that… the burrito was fantastic. I got the shredded beef and green sauce and I didn’t even need to add salsa or hot sauce to it. If you don’t like the decor, get it to go, but for around $5 for a burrito the size of Chipotle that is just as good or better, you can’t go wrong.
Delicious. They are authentic – I had a Chicharrines burrito. Some of the best refried beans I’ve had in a while as well.
These reviews can’t be from real customers. I tried this place one time and that was more than enough. The food is not good and the place has a bad smell. I would highly suggest passing on this, trust me
Great prices and goo food! 4.50 a large burrito and 3.75 for small. Both are a good size, and both come with chips. Friendly service as well.
Great Buritto Value w/Great Taste. I too passed this place and was like noway can they have good food. I have worked in the Northland for many months now and have struggled to find good tasting food. The authentic flavor is there at great prices! I walked in at noon and only waited a few minutes for my meal. It was great!
Great Little Place!. I stopped in to pick up lunch after a co-worker recommended Burritos to Go. The lady working behind the counter was super nice in explaining the menu and even offering some samples. I ended up ordering the picadillo burrito with ground beef and potato and it was excellent.. A great lunch for $3.50! I’ve noticed driving by that they open early and they do have huevos meals on the menu.May of 2013 update: I stopped in and there was a new menu and new faces behind the counter. The smaller 3 dollar burritos are gone, a large was 5.99.Still a good quick place to stop in but not the insane good deal it once was.
Don’t Underestimate Gas Station Fare!. I have passed Burritos To Go more times than I care to count and never bothered to stop. Not because I’m a food snob that counts out gas station cuisine; I just didn’t realize that BTG had an actual food counter. I’m usually zipping through on my limited lunch time, so I never took the time to stop in. Thank you to my fellow reviewer for giving me the incentive! I don’t know whether to start with taste or price because they are equally amazing. I went for the Mole Poblano Con Pechuga De Pollo which I understand enough to be some kind of Chicken Mole burrito. It turns out they no longer have that on the menu. So, I went for the Deshebrada En Salsa Verde with a side of Chips and Guac. The burrito was marinated, shredded beef in green sauce with a mixture of rice, beans and red sauce. While it was the size of a Chipotle burrito and twice as tasty, it was half the price! That’s right, all burritos, $3.00! The healthy serving of chips and VERY fresh guac were only $2.50! Really?! Heck, Avocados cost $2.50 a piece right now. I can say the guac could have used some salt or lime, but that’s a taste thing and I was more than happy to add my own. The tortillas were freshly made – so warm and comforting. The family was friendly. Looking forward to going back. Also, don’t let the posted menu deceive you, they have several more options these days. As They have added several hand-written signs with daily specials. Also, you don’t HAVE to take your burrito to go, if you don’t mind eating in a gas station, they have seating for 10-15.
