We almost didnt go in and wish we followed our instincts. 2tables were occupied & 1 person was at the bar. We had 2 hefeweizens thatcould have been colder and 1 order of pretzels. The hefeweizen is not a standardcloudy hefeweizen and the three overpriced $8.00 pretzels were premade and hadno salt. They looked like bread sticks dipped in oil. The beer cheese sauce wasreally runny so I didnt even try it. We decided not to order dinner based onthe appetizer. We were there over an hour and beyond ready to go. The brand newbartender was overwhelmed & the owner was in the back sleeping instead ofhelping her. When he finally came out to void a transaction he lost my creditcard. He said it wasnt lost because it was around there somewhere. Then heblamed it on the bartender. I called him out on being the OWNER blaming the newgirl and he went off. We just wanted to go home. He followed us out of therestaurant! He called some guy out of the bar to follow us too. Any owner whocharges a customer the wrong amount and loses their credit card apologizes.Here you are yelled at & followed down the street. The owner is known forbeing a total nightmare. Seriously. We tried to give it a chance anyway. Bigmistake. I dont know how this place is still open. KC has a bunch of greatbeer establishments but this isnt one.
I was there June 2016 shortly after it opened. Really enjoyed the diverse selection of brews, and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. The menu was limited at the time but the Chicago hotdog was really good. Will definitely return on our next trip.
