Food great – Service is hit or miss. Food is wonderful. Love their burgers, tenderloins, tacos and blt’s.Service is always wonderful or horrible – never int he middle with this place. But the food keeps me coming back.Great stand by for good food with normally minimal crowds.
Food is mostly good, 2nd best hamburger in NKC. Had the fish sandwich last time, and was really disappointed- only flavor was an old oil taste. Tenderloin is large, well cooked- I hate when they are fried so hard that it cuts the inside of you mouth, and this one was done but tender- but unseasoned. Service is hit and miss- today it is pretty poor- long wait before we saw the server, long wait for food, server not unfriendly but not friendly, either. A mixed bag, but we keep coming back because the problems are outweighed by the pluses.03 Oct, 2013Great service, very good cheeseburger, excellent fries. We sat in the restaurant side, booths were roomy and there was no stale beer bar smell like you sometimes get.

It’s a bar. It’s bar food. It’s good bar food. This is one of my go to places for lunch in NKC. The staff is good, the food is good. Good specials.
We love the food, however servers come and go so much. Only one I still know is Julie! I can say I hate the way they seat you at lunch! Heaven forbid you ask to be seated some where else! You get the evil eye…lol!
Favorite Bar. This is my favorite bar. Not only do they have great drink prices, but their food is definitely better than your average bar food. The salads, burgers, chili, fish, fries, etc. are great. Everything tastes nice and fresh. Great neighborhood hang out. The waitstaff is very friendly and efficient. Also, for those who don’t want to sit by the bar area, they have a nice seating area separated by a wall. For you smokers, they have a large outside patio section in the front and back and entertainment on the weekends during Summer/Fall. Plenty of TV’s for those who want to watch sports. Just an all around great bar.
Better than average bar food. P&J’s specialty is their chili, and once you try it you will see why. I recommend the 19th hole chili dog. It’s the best chili dog ever bar none. Good burgers, Tenderloin etc. typical bar fare. Great daily specials, & one of my favorite bartendress’s ever.
