Server was fairly nice, she came around to fill everyone’s drink but mine throughout the meal. The food came out fast, hot and pretty tasty. It just didn’t stand out to me like some of the big names here in KC, but it was still better than some I’ve had. I had the burnt ends and while I thought they were pretty good, someone else thought they were a little dry. The side choices were tasty, I liked that they had many to choose from. If in the area go ahead and give it a try.
Ive been several times, mostly really good. Never bad. Occasionally a little off. Went last fri. Oct 2015. Food one of good times. Got the mix plate. Brisket/sausage/spare ribs. Ribs great. Brisket very good. Sausage was a miss for me. Style a little weird. Just noy my preference. Service wasnt strongest though this night. Considering it was late and not very busy. Hostess treated like they were packed. My friends got baby backs. Month before they loved them. This time they fine but too salty. For most part this good bbq joint. I recommend spare ribs. Brisket or chicken.Avoid sausage
Started off with the chips & dip. Great snack, burnt ends were definitely some of the best I’ve had in KC. BBQ beans were a must. Steak fries were cooked to perfection. Two words: pink lemonade.
Good BBQ. I’m so excited that I finally ordered my first Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives plate! The Triple D here consists of smoked turkey, brisket and burnt ends, two sides, a roll and a pickle – enough food for my husband and I to share! The burnt ends were definitely my favorite. They tasted particularly delicious with the sweet potato fries! The seasoning was simple and yummy. We’ll definitely visit again!
Triple B…BAD, BAD, BAD. Went in a hour or so after the lunch rush, the staff was arrogant and rude like they were really something special. I would have overlooked the experience if the food was any good but unfortunately it was the worst brisket I’ve ever had. They had a couple different sauces to choose from which ended up not being a good thing. To top it off there was some drunk guy mouthing off and cursing in there, turned out to be the owner! WORST BBQ IN KC!
Service sucks food is meh. I placed a take out order for lunch while on my way there. Took me maybe five minutes to get there. The woman on the phone was super rude while taking my order. Nothing changed once I got there. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt but after reading other reviews I’ve decided she is just always rude. The food itself was okay… It was really cold when I got it. The brisket was rubbery and chewy. The sauce wasn’t bad but super spicy. The only perk is this place is close to my work. If someone else buys I might eat it again but they’re not getting more of my money.
BLT….NOT!. I enjoy great lunches at Smokin Guns. I have noticed the daily specials and always thought the BLT as described sounded great. So this evening i took my daughter to eat the BLT. It was the sadest excuse of a sandwich to call a BLT. It had what appeared to be scraps of bacon instead of even a single strip. I can only guess the kitchen folks are not enthused with these sandwiches. So please take them off the menu!
