By far the best burger I’ve had in a LONG time!! Awesome peppery fries. They siracha ketchup on the side and a siracha mayo too. Very friendly and personable. Nice 60’s/70’s decor theme. And the beef is grass fed organic. Super good. I hope to make this a regular stopping place when I’m in the mood for a burger.
They have a simple menu, in a good way. The burgers and fries were delicious, with all fresh ingredients and high quality beef. If you like a good burger, you should really give this place a try. They are thin style patties, so don’t shy away from the double or triple. The service was equally excellent. I’d recommend Tay’s Burger Shack without any hesitation.

Great thin burger. Crushes anything I’ve had at winsteads or even town topic (gasp I know). Just try it. Nice to have something the nor’folk can be proud of. Oh and the fries will knock your socks off.
More please!. Yes, from sight…it is a shack. It is an atmosphere that really adds to the experience. You are hard pressed to find a hole in the wall type of joint with a great burger these days. This is no longer. I am a burger fan. This being said, I have tried many. I always search for a place that is tasty but not corporate. I want somewhere that cares for their food and customers first. Well my friends, I found it. Tay’s Burger Shack! It looks to be an old bar of some sort, in a past life. Well, it was revived and revived well. The atmosphere is inviting but historic. The food…it speaks for itself. I’ll warn you, do not go in there thinking you are going to have options on food. They do burgers and do them well,(fries are excellent too). The only choices you will get are: single, double, triple and Home Run! I did the triple my first go. I will do the home run next time. I found myself wanting more after I was finished. Do or do not take my word for it, just go try it. I promise, you will see what I mean.
