Great place to go for many reasons
So Many Reasons Why I Love This Place. This is the sort of ambiance that made Kerouac write. I love simply being at this coffee shop. The owners, a family from Springfield, once gave me some insight as to why the service is occasionally slow. The business in Ozark does not support the full-time staff that they’d like to have. Business tends to trickle in most days, with the rushes few and far between. So, to stay in business, they keep a small crew of mostly family members, while also providing jobs for area students. When the rare rush comes, they are sometimes temporarily overwhelmed, but they work hard to make each customer’s experience memorable and worthwhile. With that said, I’ve visted too many times to count and the longest I’ve waited is 20 minutes for any food or drink. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They are great with my kids too, who love to come in with me.$2 comedy improv on Fridays and free music on Friday and Saturday evenings is unheard of, making this place an excellent value for family-friendly entertainment. I love the way they involve the audience.My favorite drink is the Tiramisu, with white chocolate and cinnamon overtones and whipped cream. That’s a drink everyone should try once. I hear the most popular signature coffee is the Azteca, but I can’t imagine drinking hot chili cocoa with my coffee. In sum, everyone should try this place just once. It’s like Cheers–they learn your name and your family and everyone loves going back.29 Jan, 2013Warm Like a Hug, I Love This Place. From the moment I sat down, I felt like I was at home. Everyone there treats you like you’re part of the family. The service is friendly and the salad I had was amazingly fresh–every single ingredient seemed like it was hand-picked that day. My friend tried the turkey chipotle club and said he’s never ordering another sandwich anywhere! It’s a new favorite! The specialty coffee drink we ordered–Aztec? I think it was. That was an experience! I think the espresso here is world class. I’ve tried them in the coffee houses of Europe and New York and this cup was better than anywhere else I’ve been. The roaster must be a pro here.We topped off our meal with the coconut cream cake, which was a little expensive, $3.95, or something like that. But when it arrived, it was as big as my head! Good grief! We split it. It melts in your mouth. Definitely try the coconut cake when you go. All in all, this was a sweet spot and the atmosphere is second to none.
Great little shop. I have eaten at 2nd Street on multiple occasions and I have never left unhappy. The staff is friendly and the food was fresh and well made. As others have said, the Turkey Club is very good and the desserts are great. The coffee is fresh roasted on site. The ambiance is great (The live music on the weekend is a nice touch).When they are busy, the staff may seem a little slow, but they are still pleasant. They have gotten better each time I have gone in. I highly recommend 2nd Street Coffee.

Mmmmm that’s good.. I’ve been here several times, and I have been pleased each and every time. The atmosphere is pleasant, the people are very friendly, and the food is great.I’ve tried several of their sandwiches and my favorite one is hands down the Turkey Chipotle Club. A very close second would be The Good Egg. The coffee is also very good and the desserts are top notch. I will be back!I’m looking forward to catching Natural Disaster Improv there sometime soon as well.

Great environment. This place is really great. The baked goods are freakin amazing. The drip coffee is high quality the loose leaf tea is the bomb. The sandwiches are yummy and the salads are epic. If you don’t like 2nd Street Coffee you should really try again, because I think the place is great and the entertainment on weekends is always great.
