Disappointed. We visited Alice’s Tea room on December 28th, 2013 for the first time. I was so impressed with all the doll houses and minature’s. When we entered we said are you closed and they said no come on in. Our kids looked around for approximately 20 minutes and picked out 4 items to purchase and took them to the register. They said the registered is closed. Our kids were very disappointed and I offered to pay cash. They said register is closed and we cannot make a sale. Our kids had a disappointing Christmas with 2 weeks of illness and St. Charles is always a highlight of our Winter Holidays. They were so incredibly rude. We are owners of 2 small businesses and I can tell you we would not be in business if we were half as rude as this manger was…… Shame on you …. you had plenty of opportunity to tell us to leave before we picked out our items….
Lunch. I had lunch there with two of my friends and was so pleased. It is a delightful place and better still the chicken salad I had was super along with the Waldorf salad, chips, sliced tomatoes, and green olives. I split a piece of butterscotch pie with a friend and loved it. Give it a try if you have not been there and you too will be pleased.
Nice lunch. I went to Alice’s tea room on Main St. I have been wanting them to be open for yrs, but pretty much gave up on it.I hadn’t been on Main Street for a while, so I noticed a few new places and this was great.I had the egg salad sandwich with waldorf salad, chips, a couple olives, and bread and butter pickles. Also had hot tea. They use twinnings bags.I was hoping to get scones, but they are supposed to get them soon. I like the white and blue table cloths.
Non customer. The tea room has never been open for at least 2 years.
