Great fast take-out. I was looking for a good take-out place, and a friend recommended this place. It was great. The owners were extremely friendly, and made conversation while the meal was being cooked. The food was ready quite fast, even for fried rice. I got the combination fried rice, with chicken, beef, and shrimp, extra spicy. I like things quite spicy, and it was the perfect amount of heat. While talking to the owner, he pointed out that I should try their homemade chili paste. I tried it, it was great as well, better than my storebought. The rice was seasoned just how I like it, not bland like I’ve had it in a number of places. It came in a styrofoam to-go container that was piled to the brim from front to back with rice, with an even distribution of shrimp chicken and beef, and shredded eggs – plenty enough meats to have at least a piece for every bite. There was plenty enough for 2-4 meals alone. I’ll be back!

What happened? I ate here infrequently over the past several years. It was always pretty good food but the last few times the food has taken a serious nosedive. They are using a lot of dark meat chicken and both the chicken and pork are trimmed with quite a bit of gristle left on. The fried rice is foul tasting. I don’t know if new owners or old owners trying to cut corners on costs but I won’t go back as the food is so disappointing the modest price doesn’t make up for it.
Disappointing. I left work hoping for a good hot-braised chicken dish for dinner. Instead, what I got was dry, chewy chicken, a sauce that was not very spicy and more sour than sweet, and fried rice that was mostly oil flavored with just a slight hint of soy sauce and egg. I won’t be going back.
Might want to get a half order. Hot Braised Chicken is the best. Sweet and Spicy
