Hot coffee in a soda cup.. I ordered a medium coffee at the drive thru. They put it in a soda cup though I didn’t realize it until I had pulled away and it had started to burn my hand. Before I could transfer it to my travel cup or throw it out the window the cup melted, spilled and burned my stomach. After I went home, changed my clothes and treated my burn I called the store and spoke to the manager on duty. He took responsibility and said he had told the employee to pour the coffee into 2 (one inside the other) soda cups as they were out of coffee cups. The stupidity of this is appalling. Hot coffee melts wax which causes cup to leak. Where’s the common sense? Why were they out of coffee cups? I plan on pursuing this to a higher level so as to save somebody else a burned lap.
