True ‘Ristorante. After a week of mediocre quisine in St. Charles area, went with the google+ search choice and recommendation of Fratelli’s for my last night in town, and was not disappointed — should have come here my first night. A warm, charming atmosphere, with captivating service from Jamie at the bar. Had the chicken marsala w/ a side of pasta, and the food is to-die-for. Almost changed my mind when I saw the pasta dishes other patrons were served (lasagna looked too good to pass up), but stayed with original choice on Jamie’s assurance that none of the dishes would disappoint. Excellent pairing of wine (also Jamie’s recommendation). When you advertise as a ‘ristorante’ , you raise expections, and Fratelli’s delivers. The owner/host stopped by the bar to see that everything was going well, which it assuredly was. Saturday night at 7pm is hard to deliver, but Fratellis does so with charm and grace. I will make it a point to be back here when I return to St. Louis area (got to come back for the lasagna).
