There really is NO other place to buy cookies once you have been to Grandma’s. Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip gives me cravings!!! Cheaper buy the dozen.
Worst cookies ever. Couldn’t even finish the cookies because they were so bland. At least they were inexpensive. Grandma needs to try a new line of work.
Not always open stated hours. Call ahead to make sure they are open before you go. I made a 40 minute drive (each way) to pick up a few dozen cookies today. The sign says they open at 10:00 a.m.. I waited around until 10:30 a.m., I could see someone moving around inside, even though the sign said closed and it was mostly dark. I tried the door to confirm they were not open. There is nothing worse than a business not being open when it should be, especially when you drive a long way to purchase from them. On another note, a woman was outside of Kat & Me (a coffee house with breakfast treats, sandwiches, etc. just a few doors south). I believe she was the owner. She was extremely friendly. If I wasn’t so disappointed in not being able to get the cookies from Grandmas that I promised everyone, I would have waited a few minutes longer for one of the cinnamon rolls she said she was getting ready to take out of the oven.
I was very disappointed with the service we just received at Grandma’s. I went in with 5 children…all wanting snow cones, and 4 adults who all wanted cookies. We waited in line between 5 and 10 minutes to order. When we got up to the front of the line we were told we would have to wait for everyone else in line behind us to place and receive their order before we could have snow cones made for us. We have never been to St. Charles before and was informed that this was a great place to go and they had wonderful cookies. Needless to say I was extremely upset when we left, but more importantly I had 5 children who were even more upset. We WILL NOT return to this place.
Change of Heart. Tried it again after a poor experience with the service. Met the owner this trip and she’s nice and the cookies are outstanding.
Happy Birthday to me!. I purchased a coupon to Grandma’s a few weeks ago and took advantage of it on my birthday. I was looking forward to trying their cupcakes but ended up with their cookies instead. I was in heaven after one chocolate chip and ended up buying an extra dozen to share with my family and friends – in addition to the 2 dozen I got with my coupon! I will be back (next time for cupcakes) and and spreading the word to my friends.
I love any cookie recipe that requires an ice cream scoop!!! Yummy delicious goodness!!!! Go there twice a week, a short walk from work!!!!
