If you want fried Chicken in Saint Charles=King Edwards. Have been a fan for about 15 straight years. If you want quality fried Chicken in Saint Charles that isn’t awful franchised fast food chicken thats just going to rob you of your money. Then you go here. Its that simple.^^ It is going to be fresh n simple n consistently delicious.Hours that the store is open is limited so be prepared to be let down if you want chicken at certain times.Still good though and worth a try
Deliciously Unique Breading. It’s the breading that gives King Edwards its unique flavor. The breading is similar to that used at Long John’s Silver. While I have had this type of breading on fish and chicken strips, King Edwards is the only place I have seen to use it on bone-in, fried chicken.The breading gives it a nice crunch, with just the right amount of texture. It’s crispy without being so crunchy that all you taste is a thick breading. It’s also not so thin that it just slides off the chicken. The breading provides great seasoning while keeping the chicken juicy.King Edwards looks like a little hole-in-the-wall place, and that it is. However, it is definitely worth a visit. My wife and I enjoyed it very much. Can’t wait to get back!

Don’t get it….. I ordered a bucket of mixed chicken and a few other their sides a week or so ago. Fresh food, not bad but really didn’t have any flavor. Not sure what the attraction is unless it’s simply a local nostalgia thing. Not bad, and if you are in the area they are SO MUCH BETTER than the nasty Church’s down the street.
If you can deep fry it they got it, I’ve been going here for over twenty years, my favorites are the gizzards and the frog legs!!!
