False advertising and deceptive practices. If you received a promotional flyer with the price and a food voucher know that you will be charged $2.00 more for the buffet even with your my choice card. If you bring it to the attention of management they will lie to your face and when you call them out on it they will blame it on gaming laws. If that were the case why doesn’t the same thing happen if you eat at one of the other venues at Ameristar? Your coupon that is advertised to be worth a specified $$ amount is really worth $2.00 less at the buffet. I contacted Pinnacle Entertainment Corporate Office and received no call back or response to my email. Pinnacle thinks that we, the customer is too stupid to catch on to the deception and stealing they are condoning. While $2.00 is not alot of money if you add up the $2.00 from all the people who eat at the buffet it suddenly becomes alot of money. Don’t let them get away with this – tell them, tell your friends. I contacted the FTC and the new media. Pinnacle thinks they can just line the pockets and continue to steal from the public. It’s a matter of principle. Me, no thinks I’ll take that $2.00 they want to steal from me and drive to Hollywood!

Terrible service. The cashier was very rude. The waitress was slow at bringing drinks and refills. The server at the carver asked what I wanted, and then walked away without giving it to me. The desserts were very good. Biscuits were terrible. Scrambled eggs were cold. Orange chicken was delicious.
Lunh, good price and good food. Their lunch buffet is a good value. they have several choices and i didn’t encounter anything i didn’t like. the place was clean and the chefs and servers were friendly. i went twice in december and liked it both times. i like that their chocolate fountain is behind glass and you have to ask the attendant to dip your items for you…this way you don’t have to worry about kids putting their dirty hands in it or customers coughing and sneezing by it all day!
Brunch??. Went to Ameristar’s Landmark Buffet for Sunday brunch. Really not a brunch buffet in any shape or form. A brunch should have both lunch and breakfast items. Very heavy on the breakfast and light on the lunch. I had scrambled eggs not good, link sausage ok ham better than some and shrimp. The shrimp was very salty. Nothing stood out like it would at a Las Vegas buffet. This really is on par with gasp Hometown buffet.
