Came later on a Sunday afternoon, service was substandard. Not one of the three employees we saw greeted us. Our waitress passed us at least four times and NEVER asked us if our meal was okay or offer a tea refill. The ceasar salad was decent…. but we see no reason to ever go back.

Love Magpie’s. We love everything on the menue. The chief is great! The patio is the best place to sit. In the winter the inside is nice and well worth the trip. My favorite is the baked brie with french bread. I get my blue moon beer and baked brie and anything on the menue is nice to go with that. Maybe a salad.

Terrible service. We waited for twenty minutes for someone to acknowledge us after our drink order taken. No eye contact although passed by multiple times. One waitress we over heard loudly complaining about the patrons one table one and table sixteen being idiots. Also staying just hold a gun to my head today. Very inappropriate. We choose not to eat after witnessing this. When we commented any to the cashier the waitress cane up directly behind us and stated, no i didn’t do that, i don’t know what they were talking about. Terrible!!!!

Always Good!. Signature potato soup awesome anytime, great sandwiches and bread, deserts always good, homemade crepes. My out of town guest runs national ice cream conventions and loved every bite and especially the Hershey chocolate pie, even ask to marry the owner or management. Stay small, homemade and keep the quality high – Thank You for always being there over last 12years! (My folks when in town from Fla, Pa to Calif always want to eat here over any chain and the big expensive restaurants) Then you add the charm and old town ambiance of brick streets with horse drawn carriages going by and know this is a diamond restaurant of St.Charles. Dont change anything – love it! Nick of Chesterfield

One of the best places in Missouri. Try the House beef or summer salads. Great owners!

Still the Gold Standard. Don’t know the story on past reviewers but my sister and I drove over from Illinois to enjoy this place. Yes, it’s little, but the food is perfect. Somebody knows how to cook. Best chef salad, best poppyseed dressing, best cream bread, real butter. Chocolate pie not overly sweetened and enhanced with a hint of coffee and almond, iced tea that NEVER tastes like yesterday’s news. This is how we should be eating. Real food, real flavor, no styrofoam taste like you get at the chain restaurants like Applebee’s and 54th street.
