As a Reginal Manager from Ohio to Texas – I make it a point to stop in St. Charles, so that I can enjoy great service, incredible wings (not a wing person either), and an awesome atmosphere.
Slow and rude. Overall experience horrible. They were understaffed, the servers were running around and it seemed like an inconvenience to ask for something. My family went there for dinner and drinks. While dining, were told they needed to soon get up from the table…family wanted to get dessert and drinks…guess that wasn’t going to happen. They said they could accommodate the table in a different location but there were no seats available. Staff was rude about it and didn’t seem to care, as if this wasn’t their problem. They messed up the food order, so one person in the party didn’t eat until almost everyone was done eating. From one thing to the next to the next.
Bad service and food is just okay. I went back two more times just to confirm I didn’t go at a bad time, and had the same experience.
Would never go back. The bartender on the upstairs/outside was rude and condescending. He had black glasses on with black hair. I am a high volume bartender and would never, ever give costumer service the way he did. Clearly there is some management issues.
Upstairs bar is great. I enjoyed two separate Saturday evenings at the upstairs bar this summer. Good martinis and a super kind bar staff was provided. Great place to enjoy a nice evening while overlooking old town St. Charles!!
This place has not changed.. I have been to this place a few times, and I honestly do not know why I come back. The result is always the same: poor service and overpriced food. The entire staff seems to have an arrogant and dismissive attitude about them. The cuisine is OKAY… just that. I paid about twenty dollars for a salmon fillet with a small serving of mushroom risotto, which tasted like squishy molding clay. The only saving grace was that the salmon was cooked pretty well. So overall, I would not recommend this restaurant. Consistent results speak for themselves, and they tell me not to return.
Underwhelming. Our party of 6 waited for 45 minutes to receive our meals at lunch on a Friday despite there being only two other tables occupied in the whole establishment. When we received our orders, the food was typical bar-quality.
