A real experience!. This is an older place, but the food and service are OUTSTANDING!!! You will want to go when you have time to experience the chef cooking your food fresh, right there in front of you. I’ve had two different chefs there so far and both were very talented and entertaining while they artfully put together the meal for the entire table. Good prices, great time! Good family fun!
Expensive mediocre meal. I visited this restaurant on 12/20 for the first time, I was surprised by the prices on the menu and how empty the restaurant was at 8pm. It was a huge struggle ordering as the staff does not speak English. The miso soup was not the same as any other japanese place I have ever been to. I was able to only take a spoon. The fried rice seemed like it had been sitting for a while, the meal was really bad.We realized after leaving that we paid the tip twice, they charged us the tip ( on 2 people) on the debit card AND we had given the waitress some cash. I certainly will not return to this location.
Two Thumbs Up. My husband and I tried Shogun for the 1st time last Friday night. We set our reservations for 8:30 but got there early and they seated us immediately. We didnt realize we’d be sharing a big table with people we’d never met but it turned out to be a wonderful night. The waiter (male) was extremely nice and did a wonderful job. The chef was impressing, I believe they all do the same basic tricks but entertaining none the less. The food was wonderful, and the amount of food was overwhelming. For the price, it was well worth it. My husband had the Shrimp and Scallops and I had the Teriyaki Chicken and Shrimp. The appetizer of Japanese soup was delicious although I did not care for the salad, the dressing was too much. All in all, this is a wonderful place and the atmosphere was wonderful, small but very inviting, dim lights and very relaxing. I’m actually calling for reservations for Saturday night to take my son, I think he would love it!! -Erica on the ill side : )
Hrm… The food is good and the servers are awesome. I usually don’t like male servers but here at Shogun they are pretty witty and on the job.
Sho-what?. The chef we had was a bigger fellow. He did his onion volcano trick and that was about it. Not very exciting. All he did was talk about sports with these two other men. Very disappointing.
I would not reccomend this place to anyone- the service is terrible and the atmosphere gives off a bad vibe. Its like you are in a dungeon, there is no windows, the lighting is terrible and the bathrooms are discusting. The decorations arent very authentic and the chefs mostly keep to themselves. The food is good, but it is way over priced.I give two thumbs down for shogun, if you are looking for a fun night and good food i would reccomend Kitaro.
Shogun is a great place for parties with action and exchtment everywhere
