As soon as I picked my burger up, it started dripping fat.
Been here several times. My first experience was not a great one by any stretch of the imagination. We waited in line to order, placed order drug 2 little ones around crazy busy lunch crowd. Noone could help two woman with little ones just looked at us like we were goofy. We waited & waited more… Finally after folks who came in after us were all served there was hope on the horizon. Or so we thought! Our food was ready, 2 burgers, fries & kids hot dog. Manager picked up the order started to carry it to us when whamo she dropped it! So we waited again another 10-15 mins but she did give us 2 free coupons. Which I did come back & did have a much better experience. However like everyone is saying its a greasy burger! But honestly, since when is a burger not greasy? Especially when everything about Smashburger is fried including the veggie frites! Which I loved, but wouldn’t eat ever again due to being a reformed eater. Darn diets!
One of my Favorite Burger Joints!. I fell in love with Smashburger when I lived in Oklahoma, so I was excited to see that they opened one up just down the road from where we live in St. Charles. Their burgers are always meaty, juicy, and have that perfect sear. I love all of the different toppings available. I haven’t tried the St. Louis burger yet, because I discovered that all of the ingredients on the Oklahoma burger are available (lettuce, fried pickles, haystack onions, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, ranch dressing on classic egg bun). I love that burger!The Smashfries are also awesome! I love the unique flavor that the rosemary, garlic, and olive oil provide.For me, Smashburger is in a top tier of burger chains with In-N-Out and Five Guys. My wife and 3-year old daughter are also big fans of Smashburger.
Absolutely excellent burgers. I had the avocado, bacon and ranch chicken sandwich myself and I was sold halfway through the first bite. I would recommend this place to burger enthusiasts everywhere.
Ambivalent. I didn’t know whether to click on like for the great burger or dislike for the so-so fries. But I think for $23 for 2 burgers and 1 soda, I can do better elsewhere.
You get what you pay for. Smashburger is a great burger joint. Yes, it’s pricy, but so is every other restaurant these days. If you want a cheap burger go to McDonalds, but I guarantee it won’t taste as good as Smashburger or any other out-of-the-box burger joint. Think about how much burgers cost at TGIF or JJ’s. It’s pretty much the SAME PRICE! Face it, quality costs these days.
