Although this was a pretty bad experience. The manager did try to make it right; and that counts for something. The food was below average and the bartender reached her hand in a glass of wine to retrieve the cork (it wasn’t served ((thank goodness))) but don’t bother!!!!
Don’t forget your reservation!. Fantastic experience! We wanted traditional food with a casual setting. We finally went out without children and were so pleased that we chose Tony’s! My husband thinks he had the best prime rib he has ever had and I had a combo with the chicken and steak. The food was very fresh and comforting. The server was knowledgable and friendly. We can’t wait for our next trip back to St. Charles, so we can return here!
Have been going to Tony’s for awhile.., always pretty happy with the food overall. Service can sometimes be an issue just depends on your server. Smoke from the bar is a dislike and we would drink in the bar much more often if it was smoke free.
Downside – Even sitting in the dining room, the bar smoke will creep in. Upside – The food is good but very rich. The salads are great.
Excellent atmosphere, service, and food. The blackened chicken was perfectly cooked and moist. My husband loved the sausage on his salzaccia. Our water glasses were never empty and loved the charm of the downtown St Charles area.
Smoking from bar ruined dinner. Food was great, service good, although it took 1.5 hrs for our food to arrive. This is a busy place. We were seated next to a hall going to the bar and the smoke smell of cigarettes was overwhelming. Really ruined the evening for me and my clothes stink. This was a Wed. Night.
Terrible entree. Don’t you ever order the pork tenderloin with burgundy sauce. I did and I got overcooked pork chunks with beef gravy, very starchy. Salads were ok.
