  I took the family here for a special treat like we do every couple of weeks…The girl who seated us was very pleasant but that is where the positive ends. Everything that we ordered was literally half the portion we normally got and when I asked my server why this was the case he told me that the owner was in the kitchen, concerned he asked me if everything was okay, I responded that everything tasted fine but I was used to getting more food like the previous 6 visits. We chalked that up as a new chef using different portions s and left after our meal. 2 hours later my son and myself started having extreme stomach aches and frequent trips to the bathroom, about 1 a.m. my son woke up crying and my wife started to complain about a stomach ache as well. We went to St Joes West and Lake Saint Louis thinking it was food poisoning and we confirmed that it was shortly after arriving. Whoever the owner was doing the cooking had no idea what he was doing on food prep and as a result both my wife and I had to take a day off of work after spending 2 hours in the ER at 2 in the morning, we will never go here again and I wrote this to warn others not to patronize this business. There are dozens of other Mexican food places that actually prep their food the correct way. I am extremely upset and we’ll be in touch with the owner very soon with my hospital bill after my temper dies down. Beware!

  Wish us luck!!!. We are trying out Dos Primos tonight for the first time. We already have our favorite Mexican restaurant (El Azteca on Hwy K by Brewskeez Pub in O’fallon) but this place is so close to home we thought we’d try it out. I’ll be back to let you know how it is.

  The enchilada supreme were swimming in a watery thin sauce that resembled broth. I crunched down on bony chicken which really grossed me out. My wife’s food was cold and couldn’t tell if her chicken burrito was really chicken. This was probably the worst Mexican food we have eaten. We defiantly will not be coming back

  This is not your cookie cutter Mexican restaurant like El Maguey and such. The food is excellent and prepared with pride. Excellent service. The fun and friendly staff makes it an enjoyable experience every time.
