My husband and I went there in an extremely rainy month. The outside patio/bar which normally would’ve been a great place to sit was in about 2 feet of water. Honestly, they should’ve closed the patio down. I can’t say too much about that though because June set records for rain! We each ordered the rib eye with the creamed spinich and twice baked potato and it was very good, especially the rib eye. Service was good too, I’d definately go back when it’s not pouring out to sit on their patio!
Worst ever. Worst experience ever. We were told when we got there 45 to 50 minutes. 1 hour and 20 minutes later we are told still ten a head of us. That is fine mistakes happen 20 minutes later we check again and are told still 5 to go. A bunch of people leave so we think has to be soon so I ask again and was told we only moved up 2 I ask how is that possible and was told that the number doesn’t include people with reservations. It is obvious management does not want there customers told the truth because most wont stay. At the two hour mark we tell them to take us off the list and we are then told a table is being cleaned for us now. I told them give it to someone else I can only imaging how long it would have taken to get food. This place may have good food but it is run like a joke.
Usually very good, but tonight took over a half hour for food and the place was nearly empty Waitress mysteriously absent from our table all night, no apology for delay, not even water refilled. Food finely came out lukewarm. Not this place”s best night, for sure.
Fantastic. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Visiting from out of town but will be making this a part of future trips to this area.
Consistent. We live right down the road from McGurk’s. There are not many choices in this area unless you are into chain restaurants so we usually have to drive a ways to get a decent meal. But McGurk’s has always been a good experience. Love the chopped salad, Fish & Chips, and pasta dishes to name a few. Good wait staff. Not overly attentive meaning asking you constantly if everything is ok. Just a good go to place when we don’t want to travel too far.
Most beautiful patio seating in the county. LOVE this patio. I’ve always had good food here. Fish and chips – Guinness stew — killer scallops app — love their cornbread and rolls. But I go for the amazing atmosphere on a warm summer night.
Eh…. Average and overpriced.
